Meet Steve, a funny and charismatic tennis player whose injury sidelined him from his 5 times a week tennis game. His energy, positivity, and excitement at each session made him an easy pick for Caldwell’s January Patient of the Month!

Even though he's a masters athlete, he never once complained about not being able to play tennis. Instead, our sessions always included the latest news in the international soccer world, since he's a fellow Liverpool and Barcelona fan!

I thoroughly looked forward to every session with Steve as he's one of those people that immediately brightens your day. He worked hard during our time together and made a full recovery! I'm amazed by the agility and athleticism he possesses…as he's now back to "smashing" his opponents on the tennis court!

In Stephen’s own words…

1. What brought you into physical therapy?

A torn calf muscle and achilles inflammation from playing tennis.

2. Any advice for others who are recovering from an injury like yours?

Pretty simple…Go see Dr. Geno Mayes, Nicky and the entire staff at Iron PT!

3. What accomplishment in physical therapy are you most proud of?

Finally getting back to playing tennis on a regular basis. I’m excited to be totally pain free and get to play tennis whenever I want.

5. What lessons from PT will you bring to the tennis court?

After PT, I will emphasize the importance of stretching in my training!
