You’ll chat with one of our Patient Care Coordinators so they fully understand what’s been going on.

step #3- benefits and scheduling

Physical+Therapy+Insurance.jpg

We’ll call your insurance to check your PT benefits and let you know the details before your first visit.

Once you understand your benefits and financial responsibility, we’ll get you set up to start your journey with an evaluation.

step #4 - your first visit

You’ll meet your DPT who will be with you every step of your Get Better. Be Better. journey. He or she will take their time during a thorough one-on-one evaluation. This is what makes PT so special…you have a clinical doctor but also a coach to keep you focused and motivated.

They’ll do clinical assessments to really learn more what’s going on and then create a customized plan for your recovery. There’s no “cookie cutter” treatment, so each plan will look different based on your personal goals and situation.

When you leave your initial evaluation, you’ll know how many times per week you’ll be coming to physical therapy and about how many weeks your treatment will last. Click here to read more about the factors determining how many visits you might need.

step #5 - Get Better (Body, Mind & Spirit)

At every appointment, your DPT will assess where you are so your plan can be adjusted and any physical or mental setbacks can be addressed. Every session will look different, but here’s a few things you’ll experience in PT.

  1. Hands on techniques to provide pain relief and healing

  2. Therapeutic exercises to build strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, and stability. You’ll work hard, but you’ll have fun along the way.

  3. Goal specific work - You’ll work on individual goals whether they be to return to your sport, job tasks or leisure activities without pain or limitation.

  4. Home exercises - You’ll receive a list of custom to do at home to continue making progress in between appointments

Some days will be easier than others, but you’ll leave physical therapy feeling energized and optimistic about what you can accomplish.

step #6 - graduation (BE BETTER)

You did it! You made the most of your transformation in physical therapy and it shows. You’ve learned so much about how to maintain your progress and prevent future injury.

You’re stronger in every way so you can dream bigger about what you can accomplish now that nothing’s hold you back.
